The search for a Salina man who was violating his parole ends in the backyard of an Indian Village home.

Police Sergeant David Villanueva tells KSAL News that 38-year-old Dromico Elam was told by a citizen who showed him a gun – to lie down on the ground.

Salina Police had been searching for Elam on Sunday evening after a parole officer had spotted him around 5:30pm in the Indian Village neighborhood. A search that included a K9 unit ended with help from the armed citizen.

No one was hurt and Elam is now facing additional charges for absconding from parole supervision.
