The state of Kansas is preparing for a statewide ban on kratom.

Governor Laura Kelly signed the bill into law this past April. Kratom will be classified as a Schedule One drug in Kansas under the new law.

The measure is one of more than 120 new laws that will take effect in Kansas on July 1st.
