GAME 1: Concordia 6, #9 Abilene Cowboys 4
ABILENE: The Concordia Panther baseball team got out to a 4-0 lead over Abilene, Thursday night, and were able to hold on for the win. The Cowboys were down 6-4, in the bottom of the 7th, with the bases loaded and 2 outs but unfortunately lined out for the final out.
Concordia improved to 4-1, 1-0 with the victory. Senior, Chane Parker, picked up the victory. He pitched 3 1/3 innings, gave up 4 runs but only 2 were earned. The Panthers used 4 total pitchers, Sophomore, Brandon Vignery, Junior, Parker Jackson and Sophomore Ayden Krier. Krier pitched the 7th for the Panthers.
Abilene fell to 1-2, 0-1 with the loss. Jake Bartley pitched the first 4 innings while Lane Hoekman pitched the final 3 innings for the Cowboys. Senior, Kayden Thrower, who leads off for Abilene, reached base safely in 4 out of 5 at-bats. He walked 3 times and was hit by a pitch. Thrower also scored a run for the Cowboys. Senior, Landyn Rogers reached base 3 out of 4 at-bats. He singled twice and walked. Rogers also helped turn a double-play.

GAME 2: Concordia 5, Abilene Cowboys 1
ABILENE: The Concordia Panthers completed the sweep of Abilene with a 4 run victory of the second game of the double-header. The Cowboys struggled on offense with 4 hits in the loss. Abilene used three pitchers in game 2, Levi Evans, Ethan Evans and Landyn Rogers. The Cowboys will travel on Tuesday to Rock Creek. The Mustangs were NCKL Champions and 4A State runner-up last season.
