3 Unrelated Stabbings

Salina Police made two unrelated arrests over the Thanksgiving weekend after victims were stabbed or cut by knives on three separate occasions.

Officers arrested 45-year-old Michael Ray Gradig on Saturday after an argument turned violent in the 500 block of South 4th.

Police say Mary Canaday was transported to the hospital after Gradig allegedly cut her on the hand with a knife.

He’s facing a charge of aggravated battery.

On November 26th, police responded to an altercation between a man and a woman in an apartment in the 2100 block of E. Crawford.

Officers arrested 29-year-old Elizabeth R. Berens after she allegedly sliced his left forearm and right hand with a knife.

Jordan Brehm was treated for his wounds at the scene by EMS.

Police are also actively looking for a known suspect after a 46-year-old man was stabbed in the neck with a knife during a fight in an apartment in the 2100 block of E. Crawford on Saturday morning at 6:25am.

The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of a nonlife threatening wound.
