Vulture Blamed For Fatal Crash

A vulture is blamed for causing a fatal motorcycle crash.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a motorcycle was headed southeast on a rural road in Barber County. A vulture came out of the north ditch and struck the driver in the head.

The motorcycle then went off the road into the north ditch, struck a barbwire fence and over turned.

The driver and a passenger were both killed. They are 42-year-old Brandon Husband and 43-year-old Jennifer Husband, both from Fowler.

The crash happened Saturday afternoon at around 3:15 Saturday afternoon 13 miles northwest of Medicine Lodge.
