Salina Central’s “Brickhouse” is filling up for tonight’s cross city boys substate rivalry between the South Cougars and the Central Mustangs.
Central students packed the parking lot early with a pre game tailgate in the front lot and flooded into the gym as soon as gates opened.
Salina South is led in scoring by 6’7 senior Trace Kochevar at 14.7 points per game while Salina Central is led by 5’10 junior point guard Brayden Neuschafer at 14.4 points per game. Salina South beat Salina Central by 4 in the teams’ initial meeting in December, then Central rebounded in the series just weeks ago by winning by 14. Both teams are 15-6 on the season.
