Trucks Crash Tuesday Afternoon

First responders work the scene Tuesday afternoon.

Two heavy trucks crash south of Salina Tuesday afternoon.

First responders were called to the area of Lapsley Road and Highway 81 to the report of a two-vehicle injury accident.

The crash involved a dump truck and a tractor-trailer truck that collided. Neither driver was seriously injured.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, both vehicles were headed south. The tractor-trailer truck, which was pulling a flatbed trailer with a farm tractor on it, was attempting a left hand turn onto Lapsley Road. It was struck in the driver’s side by the dump truck.

The crash happened south of Assaria on Highway 81at around 1:15 Tuesday afternoon.
