Update: Suspected Shooter Arrested

Salina Police have a arrested a man in connection with a Thursday night shooting.

Police say 20-year-old Zachary Matthew Degraw was arrested Friday afternoon. They credit help from the public and the Wichita Police Department with the arrest.

Degraw allegedly shot Dalton Reinbold of Salina at the Hillcrest apartment complex located at 2140 E. Crawford. Police say an altercation between the two escalated and Degraw allegedly fired a gun, hitting Reinbold at least once. The victim was transported to Salina Regional Health Center to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

First Update:  Salina Police and area law enforcement officers are looking for a man who is considered armed and dangerous after a shooting in east Salina Thursday evening.

Police Captain Paul Forrester, tells KSAL News that officers are searching for 20-year-old Zachary Matthew Degraw after he allegedly shot Dalton Reinbold of Salina at the Hillcrest apartment complex located at 2140 E. Crawford.

Police say an altercation between the two escalated and Degraw allegedly fired a gun, hitting Reinbold at least once. The victim was transported to Salina Regional Health Center to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

 

Degraw is described as a white male, 5’7” tall, 130 pounds, brown hair and eyes and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Police warn if Degraw’s location is discovered, do not attempt to approach or contact him, but immediately contact police by calling 911.

Salina Police are investigating a Thursday night shooting incident.

There are not yet a lot of specific details available, but Police tell KSAL News one person suffered non-life threatening injuries during a shooting at the Hillcrest apartment complex on east Crawford Street. The victim was transported to Salina Regional Health Center.

A suspect and suspect vehicle were identified.

More details will be released later this morning.
