Thief Caught on Camera

Salina Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a person who was caught on camera using a financial card which had been stolen from an elderly woman while she was helping her disabled husband. The crime is the latest Salina Crime Stoppers crime of the week.

On April 13th, 2019, between 5:30-10:30 PM, a person used a financial card to charge $1,223 to a victim’s account. The victim had her wallet stolen after inadvertently leaving the wallet in her shopping cart in the parking lot of Walmart, 2900 S 9th Street. The elderly victim was helping her elderly disabled husband into their car, and was distracted.

The stolen card was used at the Dillons, 1235 E Cloud, making several charges. The investigating officer was able to obtain newer photos recently of the alleged suspect.
