Organizers of a rally planned for Monday afternoon are hoping to show support to Salina USD 305 educators.
Education has been in the spotlight, with the Kansas Supreme Court and the Kansas Legislature sparring over education funding. Caught in the middle are Kansas students and educators, many of which who are becoming frustrated.
The public is invited to the the rally this Monday to show support. The event will be at Indian Rock Park, across the street from the board of education offices.
Multiple events and activities are planned as part of the event. They include:
- Free food, and drinks while supplies last starting at 4:00 p.m.
- Bounce-A-Roos and Bouncer Express (4:00- 6:30 p.m. )
- NEA-Salina President Comments at (4:30 p.m.)
- Voter Registration by League of Women Voters-Salina, Kansas
- Candidates Running for State Representatives and State Senator
- Negotiation w/ USD 305 at 5:00 p.m. in USD 305 Board Room
- Coloring sheets and crayons (During Negotiation Session)
The rally to support USD 305 educators begins at 4:00 in the afternoon on Monday.
