Subway Burglaries Solved

A McPherson teen was arrested in connection to a pair of burglaries at two Salina Subway restaurants.

Officers arrested 17-year-old Kyle Farley on Wednesday after investigators connected surveillance footage from the stores and – a chance interview an officer on patrol had with Farley near the Subway on East Crawford.

Police Captain Mike Sweeney tells KSAL News that the officer talked with Farley and another teen who were walking in the 600 block of E. Crawford in the early morning hours of May 2nd.

Evidence led investigators back to that conversation and made the arrest.

Police allege that Farley broke into the Subway Restaurant at 1014 E. Crawford and Subway at 676 Westport Blvd. and stole over $500 in cash from the safe.

Total loss and damage across both burglaries is estimated at $1,605.

Police are anticipating more arrests in the case.
