Two Salina truck thieves are arrested and the vehicle they allegedly stole was found in Colorado Springs.

According to Lt. Mike Ascher with the Saline County Sheriff’s, 18-year-old Dylan Vessey and 19-year-old Harold Metzger were booked into the Saline County Jail Friday on theft charges.

Deputies were looking for someone who stole a 2008 Chevy Silverado that was parked on the lot at Bradley Trucking, 680 E. Water Well Road August 20th.

The truck was found abandoned at a Colorado Springs mall on Saturday.

Lt. Ascher says one of Dylan’s parents brought him to the Sheriff’s Office.

Metzger turned himself in as well.

The two told deputies they stole the truck because they wanted to ‘get out of town.’

The Chevy Silverado, which is valued at $14,000 was not damaged.
