Stolen Tools Found in Treeline

KSAL StaffJune 28, 2016

Salina Police are investigating a burglary from a work site storage trailer.

Officers were called to the 800 block of North 13th around 4am on Monday after a neighbor heard suspicious noises.

Police discovered that a padlock had been broken on the utility trailer and that items had been removed. Thirty minutes later officers were called back to the area after a man was seen rolling a generator down the street.

A search found no suspects, but police did locate the stolen generator hidden in a tree line, along with tools including a couple of hammer drills, leaf blower and heat gun that had been taken form the trailer which is owned by Orozco Construction of Sioux City, Iowa.
