Rollover Accident On Roach And Claflin

Saturday night two vehicles collided at the corner of Roach and Claflin.

Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester told KSAL News: Saturday night at 11:10 PM the driver of a 2018 Lincoln MKZ stopped but didn’t see the 2018 Nissan Rogue. The vehicles collided and rolled, the first vehicle landed on it’s top and the second vehicle landed on it’s right side.

The Salina Fire Department responded when driver of the first vehicle Van Lett a 84-year-old from Salina was trapped inside.

He and his wife Mary (80) were both taken by Salina EMS to the Salina Regional Hosptial for non life threatening injuries.

In the other vehicle driver Shikaiya Hutches 18-year-old and her 11-year-old passenger were shaken but didn’t require medical treatment.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene and Mr. Lett was written a ticket for failure to yield.
