Report: KU Basketball Case Going To Independent Body

The NCAA infractions committee is referring the Kansas basketball case of several alleged severe violations to the recently formed Independent Accountability Resolution Process for a settlement, ESPN reports.

The Jayhawks are charged with five Level One rules violations.

Under NCAA statutes, head coach Bill Self could face a one-year suspension.

The independent resolution panel consisting of five members would hear the case, determine the penalties and its decision is final with no appeals.
