As things head into the home stretch of the 2026 spring season in the Heart of America conference, the Moundridge Wildcat baseball team and Inman Lady Teuton softball team currently have the top spots in their respective HOA standings.
Moundridge leads the HOA baseball standings with a 14-4, 9-3 record while Ell-Saline is in 7th place with a 6-10, 1-7 record. Inman leads the HOA softball standings with a 12-0, 10-0 record while Ell-Saline is in 6th place with a 6-10, 4-6 record.
Here is a look at what each HOA school and team has done this past week in baseball and softball:
BENNINGTON
The Lady Bulldog softball team swept Sedgwick 3-0, 13-3 on Friday. … The Bulldog baseball team swept Sedgwick 17-2, 15-0 on Friday.
ELL-SALINE
The Lady Cardinal softball team got swept 7-4, 12-2 by Sacred Heart on Monday. … The Cardinal baseball team got swept 14-2, 14-1 by Moundridge on Thursday. The Cardinals got swept 7-4, 11-6 by Moundridge on Friday. The Cardinals were swept by Sacred Heart 15-0, 12-0 on Monday.
HUTCHINSON TRINITY
The Lady Celtic softball team got swept 10-7, 11-1 by Sterling on Friday. … The Celtic baseball team swept Canton-Galva 17-2, 28-0 on Tuesday.
INMAN
The Lady Teuton softball team swept Marion 11-1, 24-0 on Friday. The Lady Teutons swept Sedgwick 17-1, 19-0 on Tuesday. … The Teuton baseball team split with Marion on Friday, losing the 1st game 3-1 and winning the 2nd game 12-11. The Teutons got swept 2-1, 6-5 by Sedgwick on Tuesday.
MARION
The Lady Warrior softball team got swept 11-1, 24-0 by Inman on Friday. … The Warrior baseball team split with Inman on Friday, winning the 1st game 3-1 and losing the 2nd game 12-11.
MOUNDRIDGE
The Lady Wildcat softball team swept Herington 15-1, 11-0 on Tuesday. … The Wildcat baseball team swept Ell-Saline 14-2, 14-1 on Thursday. The Wildcats swept Ell-Saline 7-4, 11-6 on Friday. The Wildcats defeated Herington 15-3 on Tuesday.
REMINGTON
The Lady Bronco softball team defeated Flint Hills 10-0 on Tuesday. … The Bronco baseball team swept Canton-Galva 11-1, 20-2 on Friday.
SEDGWICK
The Lady Cardinal softball team got swept 3-0, 13-3 by Bennington on Friday. The Lady Cardinals got swept 17-1, 19-0 by Inman on Tuesday. … The Cardinal baseball team got swept by Bennington 17-2, 15-0 on Friday. The Cardinals swept Inman 2-1, 6-5 on Tuesday.
STERLING
The Lady Black Bear softball team swept Hutchinson Trinity 10-7, 11-1 on Friday.
