Pistol Packing Road Rage

KSAL StaffAugust 17, 2016

A road rage incident lands a Salina man in Jail.

Police arrested 55-year-old Joe L. Godbout on Tuesday evening after he allegedly pointed a handgun at another driver.

Captain Mike Sweeney tells KSAL News that Mark Biggs of Salina told officers that he was driving westbound on Magnolia when he noticed the driver behind him was becoming agitated.

That behavior continued as the two drivers went down the ramp and onto southbound Interstate-135. Moments later police say Godbout pointed a pistol at Biggs as he drove past him.

Biggs was able to jot down the tag number and description of the Ford Ranger for police – who arrested Godbout at his residence.

He is now facing charges of aggravated assault and use of a deadly weapon.
