Pandemic Unemployment Assistance Applications To Be Accepted

MetroSourceMay 12, 2020
Lawmakers are working on proposed budgets of roughly $14.5 billion for each of the next two fiscal years, beginning in July. Talks broke off Friday.

Self-employed Kansans left without an income due to the COVID-19 pandemic are getting extra help from the state.

Starting today, the Kansas Department of Labor will start accepting applications for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance.

To qualify, residents need to have already applied for assistance and have been denied regular unemployment insurance.

The Pandemic Unemployment Assistance payments to residents will date back to March 29th.
