Over $7,000 in Stolen Merchandise Recovered

Police arrested a shoplifter who allegedly crammed over 1,700 items in her bags at a Salina store.

Tyler L. Capps, 21 of Salina was taken into custody on Wednesday evening around 6pm after staff at Hobby Lobby, 2450 S. 9th observed her stuffing jewelry, crafts and wearable art items into her bags.

All the merchandise, which is valued at $7,142 was recovered.

Capps is now facing a charge of felony theft.
