Multiple Weapons Stolen From Truck

A couple weapons were stolen from a Salina man’s truck at his residence in south Salina.

Police Capt. Paul Forrester tells KSAL News that theft occurred on April 26 in the 2200 block of Huntington Dr. between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The victim, a 72-year-old Salina man, returned home from a hunting trip and parked his truck in his driveway. At 7 p.m. he then moved his truck to the garage. He later realized that his Excalibur Matrix Grizzly Cross Bow had been taken, as well as his Remington 1187 semi-automatic shot gun.

The man says that the cross bow was stored in the garage, while the shot gun was in the cab of the truck that was unlocked. The total value of both weapons is $835.

While the theft occurred on the 26th, the man reported it to authorities on Tuesday.
