Mailboxes Vandalized

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office is investigating widespread damage to area mailboxes.

Deputies were called to sixteen different homes after the mailboxes were dented or completely knocked off the post by someone who was swinging a baseball bat or stick.

The vandalism occurred sometime between Saturday night from 8pm to Sunday morning at 7:30am.

Sheriff Glen Kochanowski tells KSAL News that mailboxes in the 3000 to the 3500 block of S. Holmes Road were hit as well as mailboxes in the 2400 to 2900 block of E. Water Well Road.

Total damage in the case is estimated at $575.
