The University of Kansas men’s basketball team’s plane was forced to make an emergency landing.

The team was headed back to Kansas from San Jose, California, yesterday when one of the plane’s engines failed about 20 minutes after takeoff. The flight returned to the San Jose Airport and landed safely.

The team stayed in California Sunday night while a plan to return to Kansas was finalized.
