Kansas Governor Laura Kelly is backing a Johnson County lawmaker’s bid for the U.S. Senate.

Kelly announced yesterday that she is endorsing state Senator Barbara Bollier’s campaign. Bollier, who switched from the Republican Party to the Democratic Party last year.

Bollier is seeking to replace outgoing Republican U.S. Senator Pat Roberts in 2020.
