A central Kansas zoo is closed due to flooding.

The Hutchinson Zoo has been closed since last month’s heavy rains. The zoo closed two weeks ago, and officials say it may be another two weeks before it reopens.

Even though the zoo is free to the public, officials say they are losing money because of a lower amount of donations and revenue from other programs.
