An ATV caught fire yesterday at around 3:30PM on the 5300 block of South Halstead, which was detected when one of the passengers said he felt his seat getting warm.

The driver and passenger, who are employees at C&W Ranch, were driving the 2015 Polaris Ranger 900 XP, when the passenger felt his seat getting hot. When the two got out of the vehicle, they discovered the ATV was on fire.

The vehicle was a total loss, valued tat $14,900. There have been other reports of similar incidents recorded in other parts of the country.
