A Wichita Republican is dropping out of the Kansas governor’s race.

Wink Hartman announced Wednesday he is ending his campaign and endorsing Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach for the Republican nomination for governor.

Hartman says he is backing Kobach because of his conservative principles. Kobach is among several candidates including incumbent Governor Jeff Colyer seeking the Republican nomination this year.
