The city of Goddard is cracking down on vaping.

The City Council approved an ordinance this week that calls for a minor facing a vaping possession charge to be fined 200-dollars.

A judge can lower the fine if the teen completes community service or completes an education program about the potential risks of vaping. The ordinance was approved after Goddard police asked for help in controlling the spread of vaping among teenagers.
