Sarah ReppMay 23, 2019

An unknown white male subject cashed a forged check for $3,500 around 4 PM on Tuesday.

Captain Paul Forrester of the Salina Police Department told KSAL News: Crane Rental (1100 W. Grand Salina, KS) lost $3,500 after a man forged a check from their company.
Allegedly the man went to Bennington State Bank on S. 9th St. and attempted to cash a check from Crane Rental for $3,900. After the bank refused to cash the check, he took another check for $3,500 to Bennington State Bank on S. Ohio.

Crane Rental is unsure how he could have gotten their banking information to forge the checks.

Police are looking for the white male who is bald, 5’8″ and approximately 150 lbs.

If you have any information about this man please contact the Salina Police Department at (785) 826-7210 and CrimeStoppers at (785) 825-8477.
