A Salina man was killed in a single vehicle crash early Monday morning.
According to Salina Police, 24-year-old Carlos Manuel Luna-Diaz was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo on 9th Street. In the 5-Corners area at 9th a Pacific he lost control, locked up the brakes, and crashed into a power pole.
Luna-Diaz was partially ejected, and was killed in the crash.
The pole and attached overhead lines were damaged, and caused a short power outage.
The crash, which happened at around 12:40 in the morning, is still under investigation. Police say that speed was a factor.

Police say the driver of a vehicle struck a power pole in the 5-Corners area at 9th a Pacific around 12:40am.
Some power outages were reported in the area.
Police have now reopened the area for traffic.
