Employee Arrested after Threat at Hutch News

One person is in custody after authorities in Hutchinson responded to a report of an armed person at a local media outlet.

Officials say it happened yesterday at the offices of the Hutchinson News on Second Avenue near Jefferson Street when a temporary employee called in the report.

Police say the employee, identified as Dominic Zales, was later arrested on suspicion of criminal threat. No injuries were reported.

Police are investigating.
