Election Engagement Effort

The Saline County Clerk’s Office is stepping up efforts to engage voters.

A county-wide mailing containing information about the upcoming election in November has been sent. It also includes an advanced ballot application that can be completed and returned.

According to Saline County Clerk Jamie Allen, this is the first year that Saline County has sent out a county wide mailing.

Each year election offices are required to do list maintenance. Allen says she opted to send a county wide mailing to all registered voters to not only help update the voter registration list prior to the general election but to also give voting information, recruit election workers, and to allow voters the option of receiving a ballot by mail by completing the advance ballot application on the mailer.

In the past, there has been a lower turnout in the odd year elections . This mailer is an effort inform the voters about the election coming up this year.

The office has had several of the mailers returned. If someone did not receive one they are welcome to check their registration at https://myvoteinfo.voteks.org/VoterView/RegistrantSearch.do or call the Saline County Clerk’s Office. If they need an Advance Ballot application those can be found the Saline County Clerk website under the election office.

If someone would like to file for any office filing deadline is June 3rd at Noon.
