A 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee was broken into after a couple from Minneapolis came to Salina for a walk on the levee.

Police Captain Paul Forrester told KSAL News: Yesterday between 2:00 – 3:00 PM, Mr. & Mrs. Goossen (70 & 68) left their Jeep Grand Cherokee in the Salina Soccer Field’s parking lot. The couple returned to their vehicle about an hour later and discovered the back driver side window had been broken.

Missing from inside the vehicle was: A light blue leather backpack style purse, an Apple iPhone 8+, prescription medication and various other items. The total loss is expected to be approximately $1,400.
