Crash Sends Teen to ER

A Salina teen was transported to the hospital after a two vehicle crash on South 9th Street Monday.

Police Captain Paul Forrester tells KSAL News that just before 7pm, a pickup driven by 17-year-old Daxton Conard turned left in front of a car driven by 38-year-old Michele Woody in the 1900 block of S 9th. Police say two 17-year-old males were also passengers in the 2002 Chevy Silverado and shaken up.

One of the teens was transported to Salina Regional Health Center complaining of knee pain.

Woody’s 2008 Ford Taurus had extensive front end damage. The two young children in her vehicle were safely buckled up and not hurt.

Daxton was cited for failure to yield the right of way on a left turn.

Both vehicles were heavily damaged and towed from the scene.
