Coolers, Ice Sought For Tornado Victims

KSAL StaffMay 26, 2016

Wednesday night’s tornado in Dickinson County has left some in need of help.

Due to a lot of residents being without power, there is a need for coolers and ice and especially dry ice.

The radio stations of Alpha Media Group Am 1150 KSAL, Y 93.7, FM 104.9, KABI, Oldies Radio 98.5, and Sunny 102.5 are donating 50 coolers and 50 pounds of dry ice to get the ball rolling. Much more will be needed.

If you can donate a cooler, new or gently used, and drop it off at West’s Countrymart in Abilene, it would be greatly appreciated. Dry ice is also needed, but will be tough for some to get. Regular ice could also be donated.

Bottled water is also being sought.
