A controversial art display depicting an American flag with large black splotches on it is no longer flying at the University of Kansas.

Governor Jeff Colyer was among those who expressed outrage, demanding the flag be taken down immediately on Wednesday. The school’s chancellor said the conversation around the public art exhibit generated public safety concerns, and it is being relocated to the Spencer Museum of Art on campus.
