The majority of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference began its 2026 fall season this past week with most KCAC volleyball, men’s and women’s soccer teams seeing their first action of the 2026 season.
The KCAC football teams are still in preparation mode with the first games of the 2026 season taking place next Saturday, August 29.
Here is a look at how each KCAC team did this past week, or when they will begin play this season:
AVILA
The Lady Eagle volleyball team went 1-1 on Friday in a triangular at Huston-Tillotson. The Lady Eagles defeated Huston-Tillotson 3-1 and lost 3-1 against Mid-America Christian. The Lady Eagles went 1-1 on Saturday, defeating St. Louis Science & Health Partners 3-1 and losing 3-1 against Emery Riddle. … The Eagle football team finished the 2025 season with a 1-10, 0-5 record and will begin the 2026 season by hosting McPherson. … The Lady Eagle soccer team opened the season on Saturday earning a 2-2 tie with Stephens. … The Eagle men’s soccer team finished the 2025 season with a 4-14-0, 2-11-0 record and will begin the 2026 season August 26 at Oklahoma Wesleyan.
BETHANY
The Lady Swede volleyball team opened the season on Thursday losing both of its matches in the Benedictine tournament. The Lady Swedes lost 3-0 against Benedictine and 3-1 against Crowley’s Ridge. … Swede football team finished the 2025 season with a 3-8, 1-4 record and will open the 2026 season at Friends. … The Lady Swede soccer team will begin the season on Saturday at Hesston. … The Swede men’s soccer team will begin the season against Kansas Christian on Wednesday.
BETHEL
The Lady Thresher volleyball team went 0-2 on Friday in the opening rounds of the Sioux City tournament. The Lady Threshers lost 3-0 against Concordia and 3-2 against Morningside. The Lady Threshers lost 3-1 against Mount Mercy on Saturday. … The Threshers football team finished the 2026 season with a 3-8, 0-5 record and will open the 2026 season by hosting Southwestern. … The Lady Thresher soccer team opened the season with a 3-1 win over Central Christian on Saturday. … The Thresher’s men’s soccer team kicked its way to a 1-1 tie with Randall on Tuesday in its season-opening match. The Threshers lost 3-2 against Hesston on Thursday. The Threshers tied Central Christian 2-2 on Saturday.
EVANGEL
The Lady Valor volleyball team went 1-1 on Friday to open the season in the Oklahoma City Stars tournament. The Lady Valor defeated Louisiana State-Shreveport 3-1 and lost 3-0 against Oklahoma City. The Lady Valor defeated Wayland Baptist 3-2 on Saturday. … The Valor football team finished the 2025 season with a 9-2, 3-2 record and will open the 2026 season by hosting Saint Mary. … The Lady Valor soccer team opened the season on Friday with a 9-1 victory against Mission. … The Valor men’s soccer team opened the season Friday with a 2-2 against Ozark Christian.
FRIENDS
The Lady Falcon volleyball team opened the season on Friday going 2-0 in the Friends Invitational as they defeated Oklahoma Panhandle 3-1 and Panhandle State 3-1. The Lady Falcons went 0-2 on Saturday, losing 3-0 against Peru State and 3-0 against Mid-America Nazarene. … The Falcon football team finished the 2025 season winning its KCAC division with a 12-1, 5-0 record and will begin the 2026 season by hosting Bethany. … The Lady Falcon soccer team will begin the season Sunday against Oral Roberts. … The Falcon men’s soccer team will begin the season on Wednesday against Oklahoma City.
KANSAS WESLEYAN
The Lady Coyote volleyball team opened its 2026 season on Thursday with a 3-2 victory against William Penn in the opening match of the Halo Classic. The Lady Coyotes went 0-2 in the tournament on Friday, losing 3-2 against John Brown and 3-2 against Paul Quinn. The Lady Coyotes went 1-1 on Saturday, defeating Our Lady of the Lake 3-0 and losing 3-2 against Oklahoma Science & Health. … The Coyote football team finished the 2025 season winning its division in the KCAC with a 7-4, 4-1 record and will open the 2026 season at Ottawa. … The Lady Coyote soccer team opened the season on Saturday with a 4-1 victory against Midland. … The Coyote men’s soccer team opened the season on Saturday, losing 2-0 against Briar Cliff.
McPHERSON
The Lady Bulldog volleyball team went 1-1 on Friday to open the season in the Sioux City tournament. The Lady Bulldogs lost 3-2 against Corban and defeated Dickinson State 3-0. The Lady Bulldogs went 1-1 on Saturday, defeating Dordt 3-0 and losing 3-1 against Concordia. … The Bulldog football team finished the 2025 season with a 9-2, 4-1 record and will open the 2026 season at Avila. …
Women’s Soccer – The Lady Bulldog soccer team opened the season with an 8-0 victory against Spurgeon on Friday.
The Bulldog men’s soccer team opened the season on Thursday losing 3-1 against Baker.
OKLAHOMA WESLEYAN
The Lady Eagle volleyball team lost 3-1 against Oklahoma City on Thursday in the opening round of the Oklahoma City tournament. The Lady Eagles went 1-1 on Friday, defeating Texas A&M Texarkana 3-1 and losing 3-0 against Wayland Baptist. … The Lady Eagle soccer team opened the season on Saturday losing 1-0 against Grace in Columbia, Missouri. … The Eagle men’s soccer team will open the season on Wednesday against Avila.
OTTAWA
The Lady Brave volleyball team will open the season on Tuesday against Baker. … The Brave football team finished the 2025 season with a 6-5, 4-1 record and will open the 2026 season against Kansas Wesleyan. … The Lady Brave soccer team lost 2-0 against Central Methodist on Saturday in their season opener. … The Braves men’s soccer team opened the season on Saturday, kicking to a 2-2 tie with Central Methodist.
SAINT MARY
The Lady Spire volleyball team opened its 2026 season on Thursday with a 3-2 victory against Benedictine in the Benedictine tournament. The Lady Spires went 0-2 on Friday in the tournament, losing 3-0 against Baker and 3-1 against Crowley’s Ridge. … The Spires football team finished the 2025 season with a 3-8, 3-2 record and will open the 2026 season at Evangel. … The Lady Spire soccer team opened the season on Thursday when it lost 2-0 against Baker. … The Spire men’s soccer team will begin the season on Wednesday against Briar Cliff.

STERLING
The Lady Warrior volleyball team opened the season on Saturday with a 3-0 victory against Hesston. … The Warriors football team finished the 2025 season with a 1-10, 1-4 record and will begin the 2026 season at Tabor. … The Lady Warrior soccer team will begin the season on Saturday, August 29 against Southwestern Christian. … The Warrior men’s soccer team will begin the season on Saturday against Southwest Baptist.
TABOR
The Lady Bluejay volleyball team lost its season opening match 3-1 on Tuesday against Mid-America Nazarene. The Lady Bluejays went 0-2 in the Columbia Hampton Inn Classic on Friday, losing 3-0 against Columbia and 3-0 against Central Methodist. The Lady Bluejays went 0-2 on Saturday, losing 3-0 against St. Ambroise and 3-1 against Cumberland. … The Bluejay football team finished the 2025 season with a 5-6, 3-2 record and will begin the 2026 season by hosting Sterling. … The Lady Bluejay soccer team will begin the season on Wednesday against Texas Wesleyan. … The Bluejay men’s soccer team will begin the season on Wednesday against Mid-America Christian.
