Coin Collection Stolen

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a residential burglary east of Salina.

Captain Roger Soldan reports that Greg Newton contacted authorities after he went to add to his coin collection on Sunday and discovered it was missing.

Deputies say sometime between January 16th and February 14th, someone entered the home in the 3200 block of E. Spilman and stole the coin collection that includes a 1/4 gold French Rooster coin valued at $306.

Total loss is estimated at $1,859.
