Check Fraud Arrest

KSAL StaffMay 31, 2016

A Salina woman was arrested on burglary and forgery charges.

Captain Mike Sweeney tells KSAL News that 29-year-old Avrille Carlson was taken into custody on Sunday in connection to stolen checks that were cashed on May 11th and May 13th at First Bank Kansas.

Police say Carlson forged two checks and cashed them for a total of just over $812.

The victim contacted police earlier this month after she realized someone had taken blank check from her home without her permission.
