A couple of teens are accused of burglary and vandalism.
Police say that 18-year-old Devin Murrell and 15-year-old Xavier Murrell were both arrested Wednesday.
The brothers are accused of breaking into a building at 748 Duvall that is being used as a warehouse. An air conditioning unit was torn out of a back wall to gain entry. Allegedly, the boys crawled up into the ceiling and unsuccessfully tried to gain entry to the adjacent Wilson Security building. Devin is also accused of using an airgun to shoot out four windows on a house in the 600 Block of North 9th Street, and a back window of a car behind a home in the 400 Block of West Grand Avenue. Total damage from the windows is estimated at $600.
Devin Murrell could face multiple charges that include burglary, attempted theft, multiple counts of criminal damage to property, unlawful discharge of an airgun, and contributing to a child’s misconduct. Xavier Murell could face charges that include burglary, attempted theft, and criminal damage to property.
