Arrest Made in Forgery Case

A Salina man is arrested on theft and forgery charges.

Captain Mike Sweeney tells KSAL News that 37-year-old Shane Bunch was taken into custody on Thursday in connection to a stolen check that was cashed on May 13th.

Police say Bunch made out a check to himself in the amount of $1,200 and cashed it at Money Zone Inc., 1819 S. Broadway.

The victim, Sondra Crank of Salina called police after be contacted by her bank.
