KSAL StaffApril 29, 2015

A Salina man is arrested after attacking a bar patron and a staff member at the Rendezvous Bar on North Santa Fe.

Staff told officers that 35-year-old Lucas Chase was asked to leave the establishment by a female bartender on Tuesday night just before 10pm.

Police say Chase became violent when  a customer tried to encourage him to leave and slammed the man’s head into the bar.

Chase then allegedly kicked 50-year-old Bill Harrington in the torso while he was unconscious on the floor.

Police report the female bartender’s nose was cut by her eyeglasses after Chase hit her in the face.

Harrington was transported to the hospital with several broken ribs and a collapsed lung.

Chase is now facing charges that include aggravated battery, criminal threat and criminal trespass.
