Selina is an ESL teacher at South High School. She has been teaching for 10 years, with this year being her third at South High. Selina was drawn to teaching since childhood. She enjoyed helping other students understand a subject or something they didn’t know before. Her favorite part of teaching ESL is seeing students grow from their very first class as a shy freshman to their last class as a confident senior. She enjoys watching how much their personalities grow and seeing how fast they learn. A fun fact about Selina is that English is not her first or second language. She was born and raised in Germany, where she learned French and Latin before learning English in eighth grade.
