All Schools Day Parade

McPherson hosted the annual All Schools Day Parade!

According to the All Schools Day website, “Every year nearly 40,000 people are in McPherson on the 2nd Friday in May.” “What started in 1914 as a way to celebrate the graduation of McPherson County 8th graders, All Schools Day has grown into one of the largest annual celebrations in Kansas…”

There is more to All Schools Day than just the parade, week long festivities included a May Fete, Madathon, food vendors, and a carnival.

Students from South East Of Saline School marched and the Salina Isis Shriners also participated.

The year’s theme is “Sharing Our Story”

Furry friends were in no short supply after being featured on this year’s button.

Smiles were in no short supply either! Local law enforcement enjoy the week long festivities.
