A Salina man was arrested after allegedly choking a woman Sunday night.

According to Salina Police, officers responded just after 9 PM to a physical domestic in the 900 block of Garden. Contact was made with 43-year-old female.

The woman reported she and Homero Vega (54), a known associate who lives at the residence, had gotten into an argument.  During the argument, it was Vega allegedly grabbed the victim and began choking her. The female was able to strike Vega to get him to release her.

The female refused medical treatment.

Vega was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Saline County Jail to face charges which could include one count of  aggravated domestic battery and one count of domestic battery.
