The only team still waiting to debut this season in the North Central Athletics Association for the spring 2026 season is the Southeast of Saline softball team.
The wait for the Lady Trojans will end on Thursday when they play host to the Clay Center Lady Tigers. The remainder of the NCAA spring baseball and softball teams have had their seasons begin with highs and lows.

BELOIT
The Lady Trojan softball team opened the season on Tuesday against Concordia. … The Trojan baseball team opened the season on Monday against Concordia.
ELLSWORTH
The Lady Bearcat softball team got swept 10-8, 10-5 by Sacred Heart on Friday. The Lady Bearcats split with Ellis on Monday, winning the first game 18-12 and losing the second game 13-12. … The Bearcat baseball team got swept 5-2 and 18-4 by Sacred Heart on Friday. The Bearcats got swept 9-1, 10-0 by Ellis on Monday.
LYONS
The Lady Lion softball team got swept 24-0 and 11-1 by Nickerson on Friday. … The Lions baseball team swept Nickerson 12-2 and 17-5 on Friday.
MINNEAPOLIS
The Lady Lion softball team split with Marysville on Tuesday, winning the opener 5- and losing the 2nd game 9-7. … The Lion baseball team got swept 12-0 and 11-3 by Marysville on Tuesday.
REPUBLIC COUNTY
The Lady Buff softball team got swept 7-6, 5-0 by Concordia on Friday. … The Buff baseball team split a doubleheader with Blue Valley on Monday, winning the opener 11-10 and losing the 2nd game 21-5. The Buffs got swept by Concordia 15-0 and 21-0 on Friday.
SACRED HEART
The Lady Knight softball team swept Ellsworth 10-8 and 10-5 on Friday. … The Knight baseball team swept Ellsworth 5-2 and 18-4 on Friday.
SOUTHEAST OF SALINE
The Lady Trojan softball team will open the season on Thursday against Clay Center. … The Trojan baseball team lost 9-8 against Kingman on Thursday.
