Sarah ReppMay 13, 2019

An unknown suspect shot into an occupied Salina home Sunday night.

According to Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester, on May 12th at 11 PM Police were called to the 600 block of N. 10th St.

A 52-year-old man was sitting on his front porch when a silver Jeep Grand Cherokee with two white males inside stopped in front of the home. One yelled something to at the man and they drove off going north on 10th st.

A few minutes later two shots were fired at the home from behind, one went through a back window and struck a wall. The other shot went through a back window and exited through a window on the front door. Police found two spent shotgun shells behind the home.

A 35-year-old man was also inside the home but wasn’t injured.

The estimated cost of repairs is $300.

There are no suspects at this time but police doubt it was random.
