KSAL StaffDecember 8, 2017

Salina Police are investigating the theft of some high-end bicycles from two garages in the Indian Rock neighborhood.

Police say sometime between 6pm Wednesday and 3:15pm Thursday afternoon, someone entered an attached garage and a free standing garage at a home in the 1000 block of Greeley Ave. and stole four bikes.

The owner, Brad Chapel told officers he had stored a neon yellow 26-inch DCSC quadangle bicycle in the garage. The limited edition bike is valued at $800 because it is one of only 300 that were manufactured.

Also stolen was a black and white 20-inch Redline bicycle, a gold flake 24-inch Mach cruiser and another black bike of an unknown brand valued at $300.

Total loss is listed at $1,820.
