$20,000 Worth of Sunglasses Stolen

Salina Police are investigating a theft involving 70 pair of designer sunglasses.

Police Captain Mike Sweeney says that at 5:18 in the morning on Saturday a thief broke into Eyecare Associates of Salina at 900 Westchester Drive. Entry was gained by breaking a door glass.

One inside, the thief then broke glass on display cases, and stole multiple pairs of sunglasses. They include:

  • 50 pair of Oakley sunglasses
  • 20 pair of Caviari frames and sunglasses

Sweeney says that $150 in cash was also stolen.

Total loss and damage is estimated at $22,150.
