Fall Festival With Engineering Twist

Combining traditional elements of October like pumpkin carving and trick-or-treating with properties of engineering and technology, Kansas State University Polytechnic Campus is introducing a new kind of fall festival to the Salina community.

For the first time, Kansas State Polytechnic will hold “Tech-fall-ogy Fest” from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29 on the campus grounds near the Technology Center and the UAS Lab. The event is open to the public and free to attend. A hot dog cookout will begin at 5:15 p.m. with a suggested donation to benefit the Unmanned Aircraft Systems Club.

Guests will enjoy pumpkin carving demonstrations with the digital media program and building their own mini pumpkin chucker with the mechanical engineering technology program. The Women in Aviation Club will provide Trunk or Treat and the UAS Club will perform drone flight demonstrations. Attendees can also bring their own pumpkin for decorating.
