A dinosaur theme park featuring animatronic life-size dinosaurs is being proposed for the Wichita suburb of Derby.

A section of Field Station: Dinosaurs would resemble a dinosaur dig site like the ones where scientists dig up dinosaur bones. The park also would include a museum, a mini golf course and a ropes obstacle course, all under a giant dome.

A similar dinosaur attraction in New Jersey gets about 130-thousand visitors a year.

People can voice their opinions about the proposed dinosaur theme park at a Derby City Council meeting set for August 25th.
